In this articles we’ll try to put a comment on some of the best email marketing effort of these 5 brands that we adored, and here we go:
1st Email: DeLonghi
Product: Coffee Machine
Email type: Teaser of new product launch (DeLonghi TrueBrew)
What’s great about this email:
- Focus on the coffee drip by zooming on it.
- They put the main copy (something revolutionary is brewing) in the middle of the image.
- Contrast color, black on top, white on the bottom, with coffee beans followed.
- Teasing copy text (the leader in espresso, and soon, a disruptor in…) to encourage people to click the button, which looks like a cliffhanger, and make anyone want to figure out what this is about.

2nd Email: Mailchimp
Product: Saas
Email type: Introducing New Feature
What’s great about this email:
- They are using “Cyan” color as the full background on this email, feel refreshing (in my POV at least).
- Using their chimp mascot to highlight the Instagram logo by helding it up, this emphasizing the new feature is all about the Instagram.
- The copy text that summarizes it all in just 2 sentences, covering features & benefits.
- They insert an intro video between 2 sentences.

3rd Email: Tesla
Product: Electric Vehicle
Email type: Regular Newsletter
What’s great about this email:
- First thing first, the simplicity of it, using white as the background color.
- This email is about telling the reader that a Tesla car is able to endure extreme conditions, and it reflected well with the headline image in the top that using desert as the background, and placing Tesla car side to side with a camel.
- Four images at the email center are also done well to support the overheat protection feature, and the claim of keeping the cabin comfortable.
- The CTA buttons that giving 2 options, either demo drive OR design the tesla car that we wanted.

4th Email: Headspace
Product: Mindfulness App
Email type: Special Day Promotional – One Year Headspace membership
What’s great about this email:
- Headline text “Make mom’s day all year long” hit right on the spot. This tells the email reader that by giving this gift for your mom, this will give her some mindful product to use everyday for all year long, since the promotion is all about buying the One Year Headspace membership.
- The yellow & orange background that used in this email suits with the Headspace brand color & gives the reader a warm feeling.
- Flower pot illustration that was used is also my favorite, since it tries to represent the relationship of Mom & her child.
- 3 short description of why you need to buy this for your Mom, the features & the jobs to be done by this app.

5th Email: Noom
Product: Weight Loss App
Email type: New User Acquisition (Free Trial Offer)
What’s great about this email:
- The illustration shows their user-friendly app visualization chart, which clearly is able to set the target goals AND enable users to track their weight from time to time.
- The headline! Because they want to focus on telling weight loss is an adventure, and you need Noom as the companion along the way.
- They try to answer the non-user hesitancy/doubt in the text copy below the image headline.
